Delivery Express Service

Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions shall govern the agreement between Truck and i, Inc. d/b/a Truck and i (“Carrier”) and the Customer as further set forth in the Carrier Estimate agreed to by the Customer.

 

DEFINITIONS

“Authorized User” is any individual which you allow to use the Service or access your payment account.

“Customer” refers to the individual or entity availing the Delivery Express Service.

“Furniture” refers to the item(s) being transported through the Delivery Express Service.

“Delivery Express Service” refers to the service offered by Truck and i for expedited furniture delivery.

“Truck and i” refers to the company providing the Delivery Express Service.

 

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

The Delivery Express Service offered by Truck and i aims to provide fast and efficient transportation of small to medium-sized furniture, specified within the established delivery zone. [TS1] The service is available for local deliveries, subject to Truck and i service coverage areas. Delivery Express Service does not include the transportation of large or bulky items that require traditional moving services.

 

SCHEDULING, BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

The customer can book the express delivery service 1) through the Truck and i website, or 2) by contacting the customer service team. Booking the Delivery Express Services requires a non-refundable deposit equivalent which will offset the service charge assessed at final billing.[TS2]  Delivery scheduling is subject to availability and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The customer must provide accurate and complete information, to the best of their ability, regarding the furniture dimensions, weight, and any specific handling instructions during the booking process. The Company will contact customer to confirm the booking via phone number or email provided. At which time, the Customers MUST convey any special requirements relating to their request. FAILURE TO DUE SO MAY IMPACT THE COMPANY’S ABILITY TO FULFILL YOUR REQUEST. [TS3] 

 

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

The Delivery Express Service is subject to availability based on the Truck and i schedule and capacity.

Truck and i reserves the right to refuse service if the package exceeds weight or size limitations or if it contains prohibited items.

 

DELIVERY CHARGES

The Customer agrees to pay the applicable Delivery Express charges as per Truck and i pricing policy- approved during booking. Additional charges may apply for special handling, fragile items, or any other specific requirements.

 

DELIVERY TIMEFRAME

Truck and i will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the furniture within the agreed-upon timeframe.

The delivery timeframe will be communicated to the Customer at the time of booking, and are subject to factors beyond the company’s control, such as traffic, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances.

 

CHANGE OR CANCELLATION

The Customer can request a change or cancellation of the Delivery Express Service up to 24 hours prior to[TS4]  the scheduled service time; should service be booked within an expedited window (same or next day fulfillment) changes/adjustments are subject to availability. The Company does not assess cancellation fees, however, Truck and I, reserves the right to retain the customer’s deposit to offset costs associated with the preparation and dispatch of resources in support of your requests. If the request is made less than two (2) hours in advance, or if the package is already in transit, additional fees may be assessed. When rescheduling service, within the parameters provided, the Customer’s initial deposit may be used.


 

PACKAGING AND LABELING

A Truck and i representative MUST be present, or execute, the [TS5] [WT6] secure packaging of contracted items to withstand transportation and handling. Truck and i will not be liable for damages caused by improper packaging or inadequate labeling and reserves the right to refuse any items should they believe fulfillment to be unfeasible. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

Truck and i will exercise reasonable care in handling and transporting the package during the Delivery Express Service. The Customer have the option to purchase additional insurance for valuable items beyond the standard coverage for the package, subject to additional charges. In case of loss, damage, or theft of the package during transit, Truck and I will assume liability limited to the actual value of the package, to be determined by the valuation chosen and purchased by the customer, and valuation assigned/reported during the initial booking of the service.

 

ITEMS RESTRICTIONS

Truck and i reserves the right to refuse delivery of any item that violates local, state, or federal laws and regulations. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, 1) hazardous materials, 2) illegal substances, 3) firearms, 4) live animals, and 5) perishable goods. The customer assumes all responsibility for ensuring their items comply with all applicable laws and restrictions. Truck and i reserves the right to inspect the package and refuse service if any prohibited items are found to be present.

 

DELIVERY ATTEMPTS AND REDELIVERY

Truck and i will deliver the items ONLY to the address specified at time of booking, change of destination request must be received within an hour of dispatch [TS7] by contacting the Truck and I office directly. Additional fees will be assessed based on logistics, mileage, and feasibility. If delivery is unsuccessful due to recipient unavailability or incorrect address information, Truck and i will attempt redelivery, only after verbal, or written communication with the recipient to confirm the availability of a signatory recipient. Reshipping of an item due to Customer error will result in an additional fee (equal to the amount of the initial deposit) assessed. If redelivery is unsuccessful, the item(s) will be returned to the sender, and additional charges will apply.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

Truck and i shall not be liable for any delays or failure in service caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or government interventions.

 

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

In case of any disputes or claims arising from the Delivery Express Service, the parties agree to resolve them through amicable negotiation. If an amicable resolution is not possible, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of Georgia.

 

AMENDMENTS

Truck and i reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The revised version will be posted on the company’s website or provided to the Customer.

 

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Georgia.

By availing the Delivery Express Service, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

 [WT6]Is there an additional fee should your people have to pack an item? Or is this ‘included’. IMO if you are packing something a case could be made that it incurs cost, however, if the service is priced as a ‘premium’ additional charges may prove counterintuitive.

 [TS7]I think something like: Must be received depending on the travel time to the new destination, and the customer must pay the equivalent of a service charge, and extra miles charges could be added.
